So, I decided to use my old beater CS bowie in the kitchen. (I missed my first Busse delivery, and the post office was closed, so I had to wait till yesterday to pick her up, don't worry the Busse Deflowering is in my next post). It was like the old gal knew a new one was coming to replace her.

Peeled and diced some potato's and green onions for a little dish I learned to make in Bulgaria. We called it Schmokie surprise, because the guy who taught us to make was named Schmokie (an american). Fry the potatos add cooked ramen and fry it with eggs mixed in. Some onions, cayane pepper etc. Then pour plain yogurt over the top. MMH (wife hates it).

(the Cutco knife is just there for moral support, and to make smart aleck comments to the other knives)

Then I went and picked up the First Busse, and tried her out.
Be afraid tomato! Be very afraid!

Surprisingly easy to make thin slices.

It was a challenge. I mean, come on, there is cheese, bacon, tomato, Cheetos (don't ask), and the bread was toasted.....Toasted!(it worried me). This was a real challenge for a new BMLE, but I went ahead and bit the bullet.

The horror! The Horror! Dirty mess. I have to say the blade profile made it better at slicing tomatoes than I thought

I guess I can never go back! She is sullied forever!. At least she did not try to bite me! I will try some potatoes and onions tomorrow. Some nice big leeks for WaterZooi Du Poulet.

Not only is that a sweet knife, but it's a sweet knife that's been pimped by Bill Siegle :D very nice!

Wow, I've never seen a FBMLE doing this kind of hardcore cutting:D:D:D

I know, did you see how big that tomato was? I was worried there for a bit, and the bacon it cut was hard, I might have to sharpen her up now.;)

Skipped breakfast and those pics are making me hungry...time to fix that.

That's the best looking FBMLE I have seen! Love the clip and sanded micarta:thumbup:
Congrats on your new Busse, Bill did a great job on that one!

I actually don't have any tobasco in the house. I have moved on to Franks red hot sauce (not as hot as tobasco but has a great flavor).

Like I said, don't ask about the cheetos, the mood just struck me, and there was no crunchy lettuce to put on it, and not enough cheese, so hey, cheetos are crunchy and cheesy........:o. At least the tomatoes were good.
