Bo Shuriken vs Knife Throwing?

Hello I was wondering what are the pros and cons of Bo Shuriken and Knife throwing styles
some things that I've heard are that bo shurikens can be thrown farther, anyone know the differences?

You've mentioned technique and weapons. It's best to look at one technique and compare weapons (i.e. no-spin knife throwing vs no-spin shuriken throwing).

Houzan Suzuki goes out to 60+ feet with bo-shuriken. But his shuriken are huge by traditional standards - 9 or 10 mm square by 300 mm long. With no-spin throwing, it's easier to get your drive-finger behind a spike rather than the spine of a knife.

I've never thrown bo shuriken, but do throw knives as per the no-spin method.
I use 13 - 14 inch knives to practice, and recently picked up a 12 inch blade machete that was nearby,
and found that I could throw it just like the throwing knives I made.
In fact I found that I can throw virtually anything using the no-spin method
eg machete's, big screwdrivers, large (over 7 inch blade) knives, fairly accurately between 8 and 15 feet.
I've not thrown further than that because that seems to be the most useful range to me - as a martial art type pass time.

I use an old foam archery target indoors (big shed) which can be dismantled
and then shuffled before re-assembly to get the better bits in the middle,
and pallet wood targets outside when the weather is suitable.
