Boa vs Avalanche?? Which one?

Tough choice for me.
Have you ever felt like you liked the blade shape on one knife, like the shape on another, liked the steel and finish on another, and yet like something about another one?
Well, I lean towards the tactical side for a knife. Am trying to decide between these two since the budget says no to getting both.
Not sure what to think of the blade shape on the Boa, but like the grips.
Has anyone carried or used both?
Is the Boa blade hard to sharpen? ( I plan to use a Sypderco Sharpmaker for sharpening)
Do they both open about as fast?
Looking at black, pe on both.

Any thoughts as to the differences? :confused:
 
I've got both. The Boa's got a flipper, which I really like, but other than that I prefer my s30v Avalanche, to my s60v Boa, for a few reasons, the bladeshape and the handle material (G10 vs Aluminum on the Boa, I think), and my Boa's lockup has suffered over the years, and it's got some play now, and doesn't open as fast, or as confidently, as my Avalanche, which I've actually used harder, in the half-year, or so, that I've had it. You're mileage will probably vary... :)
