The overall length is 21". The blade is 1095, 16" X 1. 1/2" X 1/4"
(3/8" at the blade catchers) thick. The cathers run from the
bolsters through the guard and are welded at the bolsters and
the spine of the blade (they're functional).
The scales are lightly darkened curly maple. The guard, bolster,
blade catchers and pommel sides are 1018. The sheath is heavy
harness leather with black steel snap and black steel rivits.
It'll be starting it's ebay auction this weekend.

Thanks for looking.

now that is a blade! Make another one and get Milla Jovovich to weild them in her next zombie movie!

I like your blades. You have a distinct style which is retro and futuristic at the same time.

I agree, wholeheartedly.

I'm liking them more and more with every new blade I see.

The only way I can describe them is "refined roughness".

Thanks for the kind words.
I need to get a new scale. So I can't give a weight.
It handles fast and has a good feel to it.
I make blade lengthes and widthes that "feel" comfortable
and responsive in my hand.
If it doesn't feel right it gets changed.
"Refined roughness" I like that.
At ebay I always list under the heading ;
Fighting Bowie Knife / followed by the item.
In this case ; Cutlass
I hope I don't offend anyone here by announcing that
a pictured knife is available at ebay. I simply enjoy watching
the auctions unfold.
Thanks again,
Mike

Let me use my very first post to say WOW

That is a nice job. Like someone posted, futuristic and retro at the same time. You do GOOD work.

I had no idea that I liked these types of swords until now. That is some amazing work. What do we search to find the auction?

Again, thanks for the kind words.
This is a ;
Fighting Bowie Knife / Cutlass
Copying/pasting this will get to the auction on ebay.
Thanks,
Mike
