bob doggett knives?

Would like to have some feedback on the knives from Bob Doggett.
Was on his homepage..... really good looking (I mean the homepage and the k n i v e s:D )!
How is fit and finish, cutting ability, and so on....

Something else: Are there some custom makers(U.S.) who don't like shipping to europe???

Bob's knives have EXCELLENT fit and finish. I've got one of his very early pieces and it works like a dream.

It takes a SUPER sharp edge and keeps it for a long time. I use mine for general utility work like breaking down boxes, cutting twine and tape, and some food prep.

What I'm saying is that he isn't charging enough for the quality of work. (I hope he doesn't read this.) ;)
 
Bob's knives are awesome, extremely nice....just inquire with him and see what his order status is currently.
 
I have a folder and a fixed blade from Bob. The fit and finish are top notch. If I remember correctly the folder was the first of that type that Bob made. I am having a sheath made for it right now and I plan on carring it alot. Also Bob is great to deal with. Drop him an email and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

As these guys said, Bob's work is excellent and he's a great guy to deal with. I've got one of his SRJ models in stag and it's gorgeous.
 
Bob has the potential to become a world class knife maker.

His work is clean and constantly improving.

His mentor Steve Johnson is a world class maker himself. As such he knows what it takes to become one.

I've known Bob since before he was a knife maker. He is a dedicated to what ever the task at hand is.

As such he is very demanding of both himself and his knives.

I highly recommend his knives.
 
One more thumb's up for Bob and his work. I purchased a keychain companion in pearl and damascus last December. The knife is beautiful and doing business with Bob was a real pleasure.
 
:) I believe I have the first folder he ever made. Even at his first attempt,this knives fit and finish,lockup and razor sharp edge is fantastic. On top of that,he is a really nice guy to do biz with.....I highly recommend his stuff.
 
Bob had some BEAUTIES at the Gator Cutlery Club Show here in Lakeland this weekend. I got to put my FAT fingerprints on them ;)

Very clean work from a good soul. Can't go wrong here.
 
I have two of his knives (keychain companion and fillet knife). The fillet knife's kydex sheath's belt loop was too tight a fit on my wide belt. Bob offered to loosen it up and sharpen the knife back up too at no cost (used it to dress a bunch of fish, but will still shave probably). I haven't mailed it yet, but I plan to. Good knives. Great service. :)
