Has anyone else seen this folder for sale on E-Bay? $1,175.00!!!??? The fellow selling it says that it is a new model introduced at NYCKS this past November by Bob and that he hasn't even come up with a model name for it yet. It's D2(I assume, that's all that Dozier uses as far as I know) and it has bone scales, the seller refers to them as "Deep grained natural handles". Seems like a pretty vague listing description being that he's asking over a grand for the knife. Don't mean for this post/question to seem accusatory or anything, I just really love Dozier folders and am looking to see if anyone has any more info about this knife beyond what the e-bay listing supplies.

That fella selling the Dozier has a ton of stuff up including watches over 100grand so I think he can be trusted. I read all his feedback and think he owns the company, Boss Hogs, the V8 driven bikes. My hunch anyways. I would like to have a couple of those Emersons, hell I'd like to have anything he is selling, all way beyond my means for sure. keepem sharp

Very reputable individual and knowledgeable collector.
He posts on the Dozier forum occasionally.

The handle appears to be mammoth ivory.

Which I am guessing he left out of the description so it would not get flagged by ebay for other types of ivory, some of which are banned, or require the proper paper work. :)

As far as price, the Dozier shop gets a premium of, I think, $200 for stag and this mammoth will be over and above that. ;)

Thanks for the link Fitz. My question/curiosity isn't in the seller of said knife, but in the knife itself. I assumed from the seller's e-bay rating that he was legit, I was just interested if anyone had any info on this new Dozier model. Alas, i can't afford his knives. As usual, my eyes are too big for my wallet:( Thanks for the replies folks.

Thanks again Fitz. I considered searching Bob's message Board but was at work and got busy. Them sure is purty cutlery!

I like the new blade design on these, just wish Bob would break down and do tip-up carry!
