Anyone have experience with the Bob Dozier grinder? Looking for input and opinions from someone who has used one.

I have one. I bought it from Bob 20 + years ago. It is a nice grinder. The belt tension works off compressed air. The tracking is easy, and the belt runs smooth.
I do think there are better grinders. I have four TW-90's and I feel they are much much better than the Dozier grinder.

They don't change functions easily, but he didn't design them to. He designed it for you to setup for your task and leave it there. There are like 10 in his shop and each for a different task. Mine is a belter, used for handle shaping. I do know Tom Krein has only Dozier grinders in his grinding room. He's as good a knife maker as exists on this planet and that's what he uses.

If someone has one for sale, I'd love a crack at it if the previous poster scared you away.

How big is the piston diameter and what pressures do you run on the tension ?

moar pichers if anyone has them.

No particular size, whatever fits. Run around 40-60 PSI. Increase or decrease depending if you want more or less pressure on the belt.
