besides the one on the website. I'd like to really see more of the locking mechanism before I shell out $600 bucks on this without handling one. This is a continuation of my search for the "strongest folder". I already put a deposit on a Darrel Ralph AXD, whick I decided had the strength, looks and exclusivity, I wanted. I just may have to get this one two/too.

I know someone responded to my origina linquiry of "What is the strongest folder" by saying they had a Dozier and it was built like a tank. Can you take a pic of that and send to me?

It's for big hands and also has an action that is gratifying to handle. It is meticulously hand made.

Cliff,
I have a Dozier Trapper and it also uses the Tab stop. It locks up as well or better than any other knife that I have used. I personally cannot see any "normal" use of the knife unlocking it.

Basically, it has a thick liner lock on the bottom and on the top of the blade. You have more contact than any other lock. In my opinion, even when you twisted is, it would be pretty difficult to unlock it accidently.

You might have a difficult time getting one, since Bob is not taking folder orders at the current time.:(
 
Actually just spoke (emailed them) and they said it would be 3-4 months out. Thanks for the confirmation that it's a good locking system.

Hello Mr. Cox,

The washer material is phosphorous bronze. No deposit is required to place an order, and the delivery time right now is 3 to 5 months. There should be a picture or two on our website.

That is good news! His site still states no orders. Maybe I should get another one ordered before he cuts it off again:D!
