I can't find the new Wilderness model on his website. Does anyone know where I could find a picture of one??

P.S. I keep hearing about how his customer service is soo good, but I emailed him 2 weeks ago and he hasn't responded!

Thanks!

Jeff

Bob's wife, Linda, handles the the phone and the e-mails. And from past experiences, they are busy almost all of the time. Especially around the time they are getting ready for big shows. I haven't seen teh new Wilderness model either. Why don't you try e-mailing Linda again and asking if she can help you get a scan.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the heads-up on the TK picture, Ravenn. I had missed it on my first pass through the mag. I don't have a scanner but here is part of the annotation from the pic:
"...Bob Dozier created his new Wilderness Survival knife by lenghtening the handle and blade on an earlier model..."
Unfortunately, there are no specs given; however, to my eye, it is beefed up Pro Guide. It has a similar clip blade shape with a touch more belly (i.e. steeper drop & more curve from the point to the straight portion of the edge) than the Pro Guide. The handle also follows similar lines with what appears to be a bit more of a swell on top as well as a different butt shape.

I know what one of my first stops will be at the NY Custom Show (2 weeks & counting). I'm a sucker for both Doziers & white micarta. If he has one at the show... Well, let's just say that my white micarta Pro Guide, Model 6, and Arkansas Toothpick may be getting a big brother soon. :D

I spoke to Bob recently, and he was getting ready to go to a show. He said they were going to be gone for a couple of weeks, so this is likely why they have not returned your email.

I have seen the wilderness in several magazines now. It is a modified beefier version of the Pro Guide. He has planned to get it on his site, but it hasn't happened just yet. I believe it has a 5" blade and a handle close to that long. I may be wrong, but i think it is .200" thick at the spine. Looks like a winner to me!

SOME folks need ya to visit the GBU and finish an on-going knife thread.....wolf:rolleyes:

I had the opportunity to meet Bob and Linda Dozier this weekend at the Tulsa Gun Show. They seemed like very nice folks. They had some nice stuff with them.

The specs from KI are as follows:

blade: 5"
handle: 5 1/4"
stock: 3/16"
sheath: top grain leather
price: $235.00
