1st 4 are Yakiba blades. Ken, Moro Ha, Ko Gara Su, Traditional Tanto. Rons' Dagger Plus, and Muggers Downfall

I like the Kissaki Moroha zukuri (Kogarasu Maru style), moroha zukuri and hira zukuri blades. The mounting job in the first pic on a hira zukuri (what you called "traditional" I think) has a poor mounting job, but the blade looks like it has potential.

I'll take those three off yer hands if yer in a rush hehehehe

Shinryû.

Hmm...on second thought, I don't care for that moroha zukuri blade much. But it's still neat.

Thanks for sharing, Sweet. Since Mr. Engnath is such an important part of custom knife history, I would consider them priceless!

You are lucky to have all these pieces.
I was on the process of ordering two blades from Mr. Engnath when he passed away.
I had bough some supplies from him, too, as well as my finishing wheels, and even though I had little contact with him, it was enough for me to know he was a gentleman.
Thanks for sharing these images.

Hey Robert nothing on any of the blades is mounted with anything good, just put on a shoe string cord to see what possibilties might look like, so all in all these are all bare blades sorry to dissapoint on my silly mountings hehe forgot anytime somebody posts a picture on the web you get funny coments...

very cool collection! I like the wrapped handles too. I made a bunch of knife kits from Bob when I was in the Army and had no shop. I only have 1 left and wish I had more.I made 2 of the push daggers. 1 had ivory micarta scales and the other had brass pins to fill the holes and a sandblasted finish. If yopu think about getting rid of any of your blades please contact me. BTW I once met AL Mar at Bob's table and he was buying a couple of Bob's sword blades. He said they were the best available anywhere.

Bob had the biggest impact on my knifemaking career. I knew Bob personally and spend untold hours with him watching carefully over my shoulder. I used to sit outside the front door smoking cigars with his son Kirk (Stevie would run us out

). I remember sitting for hours discussing blade design, marketing, materials, or just telling lies. I remember dodging balls of crumpled newspaper hurled at me by Stevie when I told a stupid joke. I remember hanging out with Barry Posner and James Matis in the showroom. I remember Bobs smile when I told him I was getting married. I remember Bobs even bigger smile when I told them My wife was pregnant. I remember the pain of the shop door closing for the last time. Bob never lived to see my newborn daughter.

To me, just seeing those blades are priceless. Bob gave me several knives during our all too short friendship, including a few he had forged himself, no amount of money could make me part with them. Keep and care for those blades, they were made with love.

Rest in peace Bob, you are sorely missed.
