I am rather proud of myself as I have purchased my first custom knife from a rather talented knife maker named Bob Ham. His work is out of this world. Unfortunetly, he doesn't seem to have an online site other than an eBay. But his knifes are low cost, highly functional, and extremely attractive.

Here's the beauty I snagged from him today, called the "Southeastern Skinner."

Thanks for sharing.

I am always glad to see someone get one of Bob's knives. A very good friend, a talented maker who deserves all the praise he gets. Congratulations on a fine custom knife.

Congratulations, as that is a very nicely done piece.

I also enjoy Bob's well done, and very fairly priced, work.....

P. S. Sorry about the pics...:o...I sure need to shoot some better ones.

Bob used to have a lot of knives available on the bay...I wonder if he has went to any method of sale like a website or something:confused:

No, he had about 4 listed that ended last week.

His ebay stock may be down because he's doing a show. I bought in person. :)

And you are correct, I purchased my second custom knife today. This one has not yet come home with me as I am paying it off in instalments. Another hunting knife, this one by Dan Ritchie. Yesterday it was between this one and Bob Ham's knife, I got Bob Ham's, but I just couldn't force myself to leave this one behind. And he knew it, too. I kept going back to his table all day long.

I'm going to be selling some stuff this week at local stores and pawn shops in the hopes of bringing this knife home as soon as possible. Besides, I hate to leave a wonderful knife maker and person waiting on his money.

Bob Ham is an amazing artist. So far I think his knives are my favorites. I have been a big fan of Calvin Nichols for a little while, but I think I am liking Bob Ham's a bit more these days. I love a custom knife I'm not afraid to use. And his daughter, Rebecca Ayers, makes some fantastic knives as well. Seems she learned from the best. I've been hanging around the both of them for the past two days and they are both wonderful people on top of being great artists.

Top knives, SuckLead!

I like Bob`s work and have 2 of his awesome folders that are among my all time favorites! :D

I asked him about the ebay site. He took the knives down because he was taking them to a show. The knives will be back up on ebay shortly. The show ended today.

I got my self a beautiful cleaver from Bob Ham today. Super quality for a fair price. He told me: " A knife is worth what a knife is worth, no more".

He is currently to find at the Gunshow in the Arizona state fair building in Phoenix. Pay him a visit. Last day Saturday sep 9th.
