Fellow knifenuts,
For a number of years I have been looking at knives from Bob Lay and D'Alton Holder knives. I recently was able to purchase an example of each makers work. What is the general opinion of the collector community concerning the two with regards to value, following, quality, materials, style etc.? My examples are both very well made and I find the styles unique in their own way with perhaps D'Holder's knife tending towards more of the "art" end of the spectrum while Bob Lay's is more of a well made working knife. I expected them to be general equivalent in price but I have found the D'Alton Holder's knives appear to cost a bit more at this time.
