I've become interested in Bob Loveless's designs and talent and wonder what happened to his company and shop after he died in 2010. His house and shop building were sold recently - so where did his shop knife patterns, materials, tools, scrapbooks end up?

That is a long and complicated tale. The truth is difficult to verify.
Various people claim ownership of the name/mark. if I understand correctly there is/was ongoing litigation around it.
I could be wrong though.....so many conflicting stories.

Are knives still being made under the brand? I’ve seen them listed as vendors at recent shows I believe and if so, who’s making them now that Jim Merritt is deceased? Maybe their booth is more just display and information based for collectors to seek history and valuations?

Loveless knives.com
There's surprisingly very little information on that website. The "about" page contain a single sentence for example, nothing but a few pic of knives with a phone number in the news section, in fact, the whole site is a collection of a few pictures and a phone number.

True, the website is not very informative. If you call and get through, you can speak with Russel , Bobs nephew, real nice guy. I am positive he will answer any questions you might have and take the order if you choose to place one

There are one or more videos on youtube that tell some of the story. As I recall after Bob's death his assistant Jim Merritt kept making knives. I don't know what happened after Jim.

The Loveless shop ended with Jim. Bob left everything in the shop to Jim when he passed.

When Jim passed, his Grandsons were instructed by to part out everything in the shop -so the machines, materials and tools were separated into many different hands.

The original steel patterns and some of the machinery stay with the Merritt family now -as it should be.
