I'm a big fan of vg-10, liner/frame lock and thin flat grind. I plan to get this classic looking folder but rarely found any review about it. I also have an option as Boker Epicenter, would it be a better pick instead of Lum? Any opinion?

Shqxk it seems to have enough differences between the two knives to make a choice not overly difficult. First the always important matter of cost, in which case the Spyderco Lum looks to be $50.00 less expensive. When it comes to blade length, the Lum is 1/4" longer. The Lum is also lighter. Next, which blade design do you perfer, they are distinctly different. The Boker has the titanium scales. Do you have a preference in manufacturing. The Spyderco is made in Japan, the Boker in China. Both appear to be good solid knives. I have the Lum and like it a lot-nothing to complain about, or even nit-pik worthy. I also have several Bokers and have no issues with them as well. Enjoy weighing the differences, and good luck with the knife you choose.

If I had to make the choice, I'd get the Lum. My experience with Spydercos is that their FFG makes an excellent slicer. I also just like the Bob Lum designs.
