Bob Lum Chinese

I'm very happy with mine and can hardly wait for the gun metal blue handled one coming out in a few months. :)

I ALMOST bought one (like I need another production folder), but heard about the blue one coming out. Guess I'll wait for it.

Jet, yea, i gotta complaint...cant keep the plain edge in stock...;) :D md

Any complaints about these folders?
No complaints at all, just praises! :D
Classy look, perfect for EDC size, comfortable feel, excellent fit and finish, tight lockup and nicely cutting VG-10 blade - you can't wish more from daily city-man's carry folder.

OK, at least one complaint should be ;) It is too sweet (please don't confuse with weak) to put it into hard use. It would be like to transport bricks with Mercedes or BMW...

My plain edge is plenty sweet! It would make a great EDC for anyone, especially someone with refined tastes (like us!)!

As it happens, there was a recent thread in the Spyderco forum, stating that both end users and wholesalers had been complaining about the Lum Chinese. I ran a search this morning. Found exactly one complaint -- apparently a knife with numerous problems slipped through QC.

Sal Glesser did state that they are behind in meeting orders. And it was indicated that there is a particular problem finding plain edges. About as trouble-free and roundly praised knife as any ever was.

In addition to the blue one coming out soon -- only 800 pieces for the US -- there are both a larger and smaller prototype. If sales continue the way they are, good chance one or both might be implemented and sold.

Edit -- Forgot to say that the person who talked about multiple complaints failed to specify one.
