I don't mean folders or products of other companies using Mr. Lum's name. Those are everywhere.

His handmades are not. I figured that this group would have some to show off.

I see four on ebay right now. Do you think that they'll actually sell for $2500-$3000?

(added later) For the information of the wise-guy two postings below: those are not my knives on ebay. That's a petty and catty thing to say without knowing what you are talking about.

Bob Lum is one of my favorites. I would trade my car for two of his knives. I'm sorry that he's gone and owning a piece of his art would be my ultimate grail.

I guess that I was unclear in my first posting. I just joined your forum.

I am not allowed to post a picture of my own Lum by the rules of your forum.

Because I respect the master's work I would like to see and learn more about it.

I assumed that I could accomplish that here!

So what I get is a churlish internet troll. Only on You Tube would I expect commentary like this.

I am not offering a Bob Lum knife for sale anywhere, nor do I know anyone who is. And I am not allowed to post a picture of my own Lum by the rules of your forum.

Wow, let's take a deep breath, shall we?

I would assume that pullrich was poking some fun because of you mentioning a value. Basic members cannot ask about the value of a knife and In my opinion, throwing a question out there about a price range for a maker's knives falls under that category.

Now, onto the thread...

I have admired Mr. Lum's work ever since I started getting into the Japanese aesthetic. His simplistic style and flowing lines are nothing short of amazing and his fusion of the traditional and westernized tanto blade are uniquely his.

I do agree that I don't see his name or his work pop up too often. Hopefully someone else here with first hand experience with his knives can chime in and share as I always love seeing and reading about his work.
