Beautiful design, but give it double thumb studs, hollow the grind a la Balibalistic (go look at the Balibalistic LST thread in the bali sub) and give it a back lock, THEN I'm sold.

(If I weren't left-handed, the only one that applies is the hollowing-the-grind bit)

Very nice photos. Where is that?

Hey there, Turbo! That is a Bob Lum DESIGN, not a Bob Lum knife ;)

Good point, I got a little hasty in my posting. I'd like to pick up some Spyderco Lum Tantos at some point, then maybe some day the real deal.

It will cost you a pretty penny as well. Those are truly awesome knives. I have a Dejavoo on the way. The real deal may be a bit harder to find unless you find someone willing to part with it, again for a substantial price. You do know he passed away in 2007 right? He was one of the finest designers/makers around from what I've been able to research. Tremendous loss to the knifemaking industry. :(

I have a Lum Chinese folder by Spyderco. One of my favorites. The ergos are superb, the way the gentle curve of the handle leads into the curve of the blade seamlessly. Like it was custom designed for my hands.

I just wish it had jimping on the blade spine for your thumb. That would take it from an A to an A+

Ever since I started learning about knives I always loved the sleek lines of Bob Lums designs. I'd also like to get one of the Spyderco Lum tantos but probably won't end up getting one any time soon because of the inflated prices. I do however have a BM mini Dejavoo coming in a couple days that I've also had a thing for since the beginning.
