i just bought one for $85.00 can anyone give me their opinion on these knives? tip durability, how long the edge lasts, experiences witrh this knife, e.t.c. i hope i made a good investment. thank you

I carried my lumto for 2-3 weeks until my kydex came, then it was my 24/7 on left carry for a while. used home, yard and at work. Was my first good tanto, first hamugari grind, and first real test of 8A.

I sharpened with 800grit sandpaper, strop with 0.5 CrO paste, and used the spydie whites.

Edge would average a month unless I was doing a few hundred yards of cardboard. If you continue to use the hamugari grind for the tip, you'll be hard pressed to damage it(mine had dropped a *few* times, has been thrown, has been punched through OSB)... I've even done light prying with it :rolleyes: , the 1/4" spine is nice for that.

I managed to get mine as a gift for my bday(actually, was a "first post gets it" that had it arrive the same week as my bday), and other than wear on the guard from my kydex rig, it looks pretty good.
