Tonight at approximately 8:30 PM Bob Neal passed away from heart failure.

I love him like a brother. For me custom knives will never be the same.

When I have further information regarding the funeral arrangements I will post them here.

Please keep Bob's family in your prayers.

That's unfortunate. Wish the best for his family. I enjoyed the conversation the few times we spoke.
 
I was a customer and last spoke to Bob in the winter. He was always gracious, a real gentleman. As a purveyor, Bob Neal was a fixture among serious collectors. In the last several years, there hasn't been a week gone by when I haven't checked out his website.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
 
Oh no!! Bob was a great guy and I always enjoyed seeing him in NY and Atlanta. Was a great guy to work with also. I'm sorry Les and my heart also goes out to you and his family. :(

Its not often I came across someone in the knife world as fair and easy as bob.

Les I am so sorry to hear about his passing. It is a big loss for the custom knife world. Diane and I send our deepest sympathies out to his family and to you.

Dan Winkler called me a little bit ago to let Pam and I know. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob's family but also his friends, Les, Karen, Dan, Bruce and Debbie.

We all spent time together at shows and as Les said it will not be the same and there will be a certain emptiness.

I DO know how you feel!

......and am truly sorry, sad and surprised....Bob was a fighter.

I just called Phil Lobred, and he says he is very sorry to hear that.

Prayers for Bob, his family, and healing prayers for you Les.

Absolutely horrible, STeven just told me.
Hoped he may be out of the woods after being moved from ICU.
Stand up guy, who really knew his knives and didn't mind sharing his knowledge.
So Sorry, for you too Les. Losing a brother or a friend as close as a brother is one of the hardest things in life.
 
I am so saddened to hear this. Even though I never met him in person, I always enjoyed my phone conversations with Bob and could just tell what a great guy he was. My thoughts and prayers are with you as well as the rest of his friends and family.
 
I'm very sorry to read this Les, it seemed he was dong better. My condolences to you, his family and friends.

aw man. I thought a lot of him, from his ethics to his humor to his upfront honestly. He was a good man and a good friend. Dan and Bruce is right, there will always be an empty spot were Bob stood. I sure hate to hear this. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.
