I found this knife last week at a knife shop in Huntsville, AL, where I had gone to a doctor appointment that day. It is a hollow ground stainless 4" drop point with stag handles, looking close to the Loveless or Herron style. The grinds and the mirror polished finish are beautiful. The sheath bears marks of being carried hunting a few times, but I didn't see any marks on the blade anywhere. The makers mark is Bob Schultz, and I have not been able to search up any information regarding Mr. Schultz the knifemaker. Google searching brings up a bunch of Bob Schultz's, but I could not find mention of a knifemaker. For $170 it seemed like a great knife to me.

Bob Schultz is one of the "American" trading names used by the Quennaing Tso Knife and Limited Responsibility Company located in Beijing China. They also make car parts and toasters. I collect crappy Chinese knock offs and would be willing to give you $5 for it. :P

I have a couple of Bob Schultz's knives. HIs work is quite good and clean. I was told he retired a couple of years ago. I think that's a great price for the knife that you got.
