First post over here with you custom guys and I need some help. I am trying to obtain information about this maker and the above knife. Are they still in production? Pics? Specs?

Thanks in advance.

From what I remember Bob Spears is a self defense expert, and had those knives made to his design. I'm pretty sure your best bet would be to check out the ads in the back of Soldier of Fortune magazine, he had adds to sell his books last I remember. If you do a search here for Steven Dick and email him, he may have contact info.
Hope this helps,
Dave

I think this is the guy that did them.

This is kinda old info.
Good luck.

I have been interested in the Field Fighter model also. The Field Fighter 1 had a 9.5" blade, the F.F 2, about 6", both with cordura sheaths. I have an article from Fighting Knives magazine on it, contact me if you are interested. Unfortunately it is no longer in production. It was designed, as mentioned earlier, by Robert Spear, his company, Universal Force Dynamics. A couple of years back, I telephoned the company, and spoke to Mrs. Spear, who related that the knives were no longer available, the only ones around were her husband's and son's. The Field Fighter was last produced by Mineral Mountain. I contacted Kumdo (a Mineral Mountain dealer) through the forums, and he related that Ted Frizzell of Mineral Mountain would not make any more of the Field Fighter, as designed by UFD/Robert Spear. He did say that custom work, based on the design might be possible. The above is just what I have been able to gather over the years, and I hope that it has been helpful. I still regret not buying one when it was available a few years back.
