Hey guys I was wondering if anyone on here can tell me a good way to get rid of the lanyard on the Bob T, I seen a video on youtube but the guy didn't show what it looked liked when he was done. Any help on this would be appreciated, thanks.

I know it will need to be sanded down, but with what sandpaper, and what else has to be done to sand it down?

Depends what you mean by "cut."

I wouldn't take a pair of snips or scissors to it - very good chance of cracking/chipping the carbon fiber underneath the part you cut.

You could "grind" it off if you have the proper equipment [Dremel, belt sander], but sandpaper is the easiest way to remove it. And anyways, you'll need some sandpaper to do the final finishing work even if you grind it off.

Start with rough grit [60 or 80] sandpaper to remove as much of the lanyard hole as possible. Don't remove too much, though.... leave a little "nub" on each end so you don't start removing material from the scales. Remove the nubs with 220 grit. Now finish the entire length of the backspacer with 400 grit. I would use water during the whole process so you don't release carbon fiber dust into the air - it's very nasty stuff for your lungs to deal with.
