aer there 2 atcfs? I have the book "the tactical folding knife" by bob t, and that presents one kind. I have seen another kind- the a-3 or something very similar to it called an atcf. thanks, if anyone has info. Also, I just noticed that dozier's trapper looks like a backwards liner lock. is this the same on the thorn? how does it work? thanks, all, joe

Hi Dijos,

you are right. There is the TTF-3 ATCF with a 4" blade and there ist the TTF-3A with a 3.5" blade. As these knives are "customs" the blade length is approimately.
The TTF-3A is basically a scaled down versin of the ATCF, but there is no thong-hole.
There are slightly different blade-shapes if you compare some ATCF's (or TTF-3A's).

Hope this helps

The Dozier Trapper uses a split titanium liner for the blade stop on top and a blade lock on bottom. It is a very cool design and the liners are some of the thickest I have ever seen on a folder. The G-10 overlays really give your hand a great grip. The D2 steel is also about the sharpest blade you will get from any maker bar none!

on the dozier, the portion of the liner that locks the blade goes all the way down, from top to bottom. i know its not a real clear explanation, but it does away with the need for a stop pin.
