Another satisfied Glasshartt customer; I just received my Terzuola Starmate this A.M and I'm very impressed.
The handle is very straight in line with the blade, and I quite enjoy this. I wasn't sure I would as I've read that some others didn't like this design feature but for me it works well. The knife Spyder-drops open easily and falls into position in my hand somewhat better than even the Military does for me (and that's really saying something).
Made in Golden; with it's robust CPM-440V blade and linerless G-10 handle I realize that this knife is far closer in similarity to the Military than it is to the large Wegner. I mention this as I was expecting the opposite, judging from pictures I'd seen in the past. The Starmate looks like a Wegner and feels like a Military; in my opinion.
The factory edge on it's CPM-440V blade is excellent and I plan to do my best to keep it that way by touching it up, as I've had trouble sharpening this steel in the past. I've since heard that the secret is to "stay on top of it" not letting it get too dull.
Anyway, it feels great in the hand...and cut's very aggressively. I like it very much.
NOTE: Thanks to Linda for her excellent, prompt service in helping me to acquire this fine knife.
Regards, Jeff/1911.
