I have been slacking. I won this knife in the spring, and have to give it a review, meanwhile it has been hanging on my wall. well, now I have started carrying it and using it.

My first impressions: It has a comfortable handle design, but the first thing I had to do was cut off the leather fob that came on the knife. It sat at an uncomfortable angle, and jutted out strangely due to the shape of the hole.

Sheath is of quality construction with a good welt and double stitched. It is thin, ambidextrous, and I have found it lends itself to pocket carry. the knife has slim scales as well.
The knife has a good factory edge that shaves hair, and cuts well.
The handle is comfortable, although it could use some jimping. Not a big deal. Fit and finish is good, no gaps with nice mosaic pins and a mirror finish.
The spine has nice sharp edges and throws good sparks, perfect for use with a Doan or firesteel.

I will try to get around to using it to build a fire using a Doan firestarter in the next month, I plan to do a little camping. I am also carrying it as my EDC for the time being.

If anyone has suggestions for tasks to try, or questions let me know. I will try to post some pictures soon.

Thanks again to Bob W for the contest, and sorry for the delay. I really like this knife so far.

Rat,

Nice score, That's a great looking little blade.. As for tasks, I find that using it in the camp kitchen and carving a spoon from wood, will tell me a lot about a knife's utility. Look forward to seeing the review.
