One of these turned up in the DOTD today...

And dang we thought it was a neat blade...

Especially when Spectre...posted a pic of the complete package from a while back...

Any chance a run of these might be in the works?

Gotta say I am partial to the darker wood handles...

ANybody else wonder about this blade?

Shane, if another run is done or this becomes a standard Item, I'll take one. :D Have been drooling over them for years so I'll definantly be on a list.

It does look like a killer general purpose knife. The only problem I see is that people from the rest of Bladeforums are going to see it and mob the cantina ... which might not be a bad idea ... :cool:
 
I'd really like one with a steel Bolster, unpolished horn handle and satin finish.vBut, white metal bolster, polished horn handle and shiny finish would work too.

I was hoping there might be some more interest if I passed this around again...

I think we have about 5 or 6 guys who are up for this blade..

I almost crapped my pants when I saw that bolo. I've wanted one ever since I saw the first. Too bad I have no budget for knives. I guess I'll have to try and make one.... ;)

It's waiting for me at the post office. I'll pick it up after work tomorrow and try to get it in the field over the weekend.

Pics and an etch go without saying, of course.
 
I'd get one...more or less regardless of the build - I had a shot at this one but took too long to decide how much I liked it... But I just have a real hangup right now for the unpolishied horn handled villager idea...

Anyone else have one that you could have got and didn't and it just hangs over you like a ghost... Mine is a villager pen knife by bura with horn handle and silver or steel bolster/buttcap... I think this would look just as great in the same fahion...
 
Its something I'd get if it starts showing up more. Probably not a good time for a special run, but if the kamis started making a few, I'm sure they'd sell good. I'd like one a little thinner than the normal khukri, but don't know how thick they are.
 
The original was thick. Think AK thick. But the most recent one was much lighter in weight, so Satori will have to give us a full report. ;)
 
Gentlement, I emailed Yangdu to late for the advertised Bolo, but found out there was a second one avaliable and snagged it up rather quickly. It's sitting on my lap as I type this. :D

Bob, you came up with an awesome design here. Am glad I was able to get the second one. Other then having a Neem handle, mine is identical to Satori's. The handle is nice but like Satori's it needs to be finished with something like Tung oil. Am thinking of using 600 grit sand paper and giving it 10 coats of Tung oil for a nice Gun Stock finish. :thumbup:
