I always end up finishing knives late at night, or early in the morning, so my pictures always suck. :D

Anyway, enough with the excuses. This is some damascus that Bill Buxton and I (okay, Bill did most all the work) did during a shop visit about a month ago. He was gracious enough to show me how it was done, and even showed me how to hammer out a blade. This is actually the first blade I ever got to hammer on.

This one has has been hollow ground and is 9 inches OAL with about a 4-inch blade. The handle is Bocoate with some brass wedged in between. :D

Well, enough with the talk, I'm ready to hit the sack.

Comments and criticism are welcome.

Nice looking damascus-and the handle looks really comfortable. Nice work:)

I like this design a lot. Bocote is not one of my favorite woods. sometimes it looks great and sometimes it looks so-so. It looks good on this knife, but I think other woods would look better. Just a personal preference here.

I'm also not a big fan of Bocote.., but it's a great looking aggressive grind you threw on that baby! :) Nice job....
