I came across this Bodega on a site that sells custom knives, and was a bit surprised to find that it's 1 out of 100, yet demands a custom, one-off, unique price.

TODD BEGG FIELD GRADE BODEGA 1 OF 100

$2950.00

Coming straight from the shop of Todd Begg comes this 1 of 100 Field Grade Bodega. The High Hollow ground Bohler N690 steel features a two tone finish consisting of sating flats and tumbled grinds. The handle is created from scalloped Carbon Fiber with a jeweled blue anodized titanium lock bar. Also to complete the beautiful knife the back spacer and the pocket clip have also been anodized blue and jeweled. Inside of the back spacer reads “1 of 100″. The centered blade also opens smoothly thanks to the Ceramic IKBS. The knife is lightweight thanks to the titanium and the carbon fiber only weighing in at 5.1 ounces.

It also looks like the mid-tech series. So, what's up with that?

Ha! That's a hoot. $2950.00 gets you the midtech version of a midtech.

They probably believe its the first of 100, or are trying to catch a sucker that does.

Works pretty often.

What? an overpriced bodega? Who would have thought? Lol. Honestly the only thing that is surprising is the fact that some are surprised.

I am not so sure that website has the correct information. After seeing the knife, they either have the wrong price up or they are incredibly delusional and are simply fishing. The knife has a lot of cracked ice treatment but that is just a fancy way of saying "random pattern created by a cut off wheel". Standard field grades command nearly $800 which is ridiculous. This however is criminal.
