There is a local branch of Bodycote that does thermal processing nearby, just wondering if anyone has any experience using them for heat treating? I have something that I'm working on that won't fit in my oven and I will need to send it out.

Thanks in advance,
Chuck

As a mechanical engineer I use them professionally to HT machine components I design. Their quality of work (here in Michigan) is top notch. Cant speak to personal small batch HT jobs though.

Hey Chuck, I've used them for years on batches of stainless. Good place to deal with, very professional and fast. Usually 2 day turn-around.

many foundries use them of course successfully
you may want to see if they have a minimum lot charge?

We have used them in the UK for heat treating our aerospace components without problems. Further more, I believe that Alan Wood, a maker here of repute, sends them most if not all of his blades. Alan sends batches and gets full cryo for his 12C27 and RWL34. I would think they are worth a look, although they may have minimum order sizes.
