I just got a Bog Dog D2 on the secondary market and holy crap it's one helluva knife! anybody out there with both the 1/8" D2 version and the new 3/16" Sr-101 version??? how do they compare?

this has probably been asked before but why the change to 3/16" for the SR-101 version?

I'm glad that you like the Bog Dog.

I would say the difference in the D2 version and the SR101 version are probably smaller than you think. The D2 version is slightly thicker at the spine than 1/8" and the 3/16" version is slightly thinner. So they are basically the same knife. As a matter of fact one of our local sheathmakers had some D2 Kydex BD sheaths at Blade and we tried them on the SR101 versions and they fit perfectly.

I hope this helps

:D:D

About those SR-101 Bog Dogs, when are we gonna see those for sale on the internet? Hmmmmm? :D

And don't forget my hat!!! ;)

I found pics of a SR101 Bog Dog resting after a morning of cutting rope to hang targets and cutting small branches out of the way.

I showed my 13 year old son pictures of the Bog Dog at the Swamp Rat website and at the Swamp Shack and he started drooling. A boy after me own heart.

He's counting the days till I die so he can inherit my INFIcoot.

I'm afraid if I get a Bog Dog, he might get ideas.

Poor trees :(

which rifles are those btw?

That's a Saiga shotgun. It's started life as an AK-47 (or some AK series) and was converted. Nice little semi auto shotgun.
And yes, poor trees. That was one about about 200 firearms we had out there that day. :D
