Hi!
Submitted for your viewing pleasure...
I just received my first Boguszewski flipper, from Steel Addiction, and although it is pricey as heck (Aren’t ALL Bogies on the secondary market??), Dave did give me a fair price on it and it is MINTY FRESH from this year's Plaza show… So, if you were there, chances are that you held this Freakin' FANTASTIC Flipper in your hands and you know how SWEET it is! I wasn't there, and this IS my first Bogie & so now I know why his knives are so highly sought after. THIS one is nearly PERFECT, or, as perfect as a custom upscale knife can be made from the hands of a mere mortal!!
I was surprised by its size even though I was told the dimensions & saw several images of it before it arrived. Almost 10 1/2" in length, the blade is approx. 4 1/2 tip to bolsters in a straight line with the actual edge length being nearly the same thanks to the upswept shaped blade. Surinamese snakewood scales appear well matched, and look sharp with the Devin Thomas Kaleidoscope Damascus bolsters and Vines & Roses Damascus blade. The entire backstrap & most of the blade’s spine is fileworked and high gloss and/or satin finished. It actually looks like satin finish down the level spine, with a glossier finish on the fileworked surfaces. It's one very solid, beautiful 'Purr_sian' style flipper!
Here’s 3 pix I took:

So, if you were to ask me now, is this flipper worth the lofty price how would I respond???... Well no, of course it is not! BUT, if it really was, it would sell for even MORE! The real question is: Are you sending it back for your money? Am I gonna??? NO WAY, this Bogie’s hangin’ with ME.
 ...Like I said, after spending a good amount of time searching the web for prices on every secondary market Boguszewski sold that I could find… Dave gave me a fair price & I'm keeping this awesome custom! (...So I guess that means that the price was worth it to me, huh?!! LOL)
A QESTION FOR Those Who Might Know… This Panther is stamped ‘10’ next to Phil’s maker’s stamp on the inside of the backstrap. Does this mean #10 in the series of this model’s version, OR 1 of a run of 10?
Update: The answer to this question, also posted in the CUSTOM knife forum is that the '10' stands for #10, the tenth PANTHER in its model series. Thanks to Basko00, BladeGoblin, & brandon for posting the answer. Good to know. Check http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=430376 to read the thead.
