Hi :)

A QESTION for Those Who Might Know…

I recently landed a Bogie flipper and am obviously totally impressed by it. :D I noticed that he stamped a number next to his name on the inside of the backstrap. Since there is no '#' before it and the number is '10', I wasn't sure if it represented the flipper as being #10 in its series or 1 of 10... Or maybe something else? The knife is a dress Panther and is new as of the Plaza show... If ya know, please give a holler! What does the '10' stand for? :)

Thanks for reading!

P.S. Forgot to add that I did post 3 pix in the Gallery if ya want to see it. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=430204

Shoot Phil an email and he'll probably be more than happy to tell you everything you want to know about your knife.

That knife is probably one of a kind. The 10 most likely means it is the 10th damascus Panther he has made but that is probably the first with those specific materials and details unique to that knife. If it has a different type of handle material or different type of damascus or different style of filing on the backstrap it would warrant a new number. At least that is how I think he numbers his knives. I could be wrong here. But you are best off asking the man himself.

By the way, congratulations on a great score. That is a beautiful knife. I saw that one at Plaza. Really nice snakewood on it. And it flips great. But that goes without saying as all his knives are smooth as silk.

Yes, that's how his knives are numbered.

As I have been told, no matter the materials used, the next Panther he makes would be #11

For example:
I owned 2 Piranha models, the first marked #1 was a dress model and the next one (different materials) was marked #2
