Just got back from the Boise Knife show..I talked to Chris for a few minutes. I had met Chris from one of my earlier jobs in life a long time ago. Anyway- I had to tell how impressed I am with his Sikayo bread knife. This thing cuts through bread like it is non-existent! (he had a nice loaf of french bread for people to try this out on as well as other hard to cut food items) I cannot wait for them to go into production! Very well thought out Chris!

I would have taken pics, but I am sure that Chris would not have permitted that as he is still working on the design. Not sure when it is going into production as there are some challenges that have to be overcome.

Purposely avoided that table so I wouldn't drop 230 dollars on a Pacific :(

I actually avoiding picking up quite a few knives at that show for that exact reason. I touch it, I might not be able to put it down :)
I WILL get the bread knife though. As far as I am concerned, it is a revolutionary design.

I was at a pretty decent-sized Gun & Knife Show here in Michigan yesterday (had to be 1000-1500 tables). And not one CRK in the whole place! What a disappointment. I have been going to these show for years, and there has always been at least one (and usually only one) CRK Dealer table. I'm still wondering why. . . .

Interesting that there was no presence there. I can only say that if you have not met Chris, then you are missing out. He is very personable! All around, a great guy and we that are in Idaho, are lucky to have him call this "home".

I did forget to mention a stunning small seb he had on display. I have seen it on ebay numerous times. The Syringa seb is gorgeous. I believe that the damascus was made by another Idaho resident, Bill Burke- ABS Mastersmith. Looks like a feather damascus. Great little knife!

Edited to add- Damascus is "River of Fire" damascus.

I saw a large and a small with the "River of Fire" Damascus. Stunningly beautiful.

I am patiently awaiting one of those Sikayo bread knives!

As am I. Every time I call I ask if they have an estimate. :(

Have a 9", will probably get a 6", need a bread knife, and would like to see a paring knife but it would have to be ambidextrous due to how I use a paring knife.
