I've acquired two 225's which have stag scales, NS bolsters, liners and pins, and pinned
NS shields.
They are both marked Boker, Solengen, Germany-Alemania on the primary tang. along with the Tree.
One has a tree on ricasso, on the nick side of the pen blade.
The one with the tree on the pen blade has the tree in the shield perpendicular to the axis of the knife.
The other has the tree in the shield parallel to the axis.

Where can I find the ages of these pieces, and the steel the blades are made of...?

Thanks

Could you post pics of them?

Really difficult to tell just from pictures and not having the knife in hand, but I'm gonna go waaaay out on a limb and make a guess. The first knife I'm thinking is circa 1950s.
The second knife may be that old also, but it looks like to me there's been some work done on it. I can't see any blade etch on the second knife and the stag looks too light in color - possibly replacement scales.
Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but the stag scales I've seen on the older Bokers are usually darker.

Some work has been done to the second knife...The blade was very scratched from improper
sharpening. Removing the scratches also removed most of the etch, though the "225" is still
readable. I also polished the bolsters and some parts of the stag.
Next to nothing has been done to the first one, other than sharpening.
There's no plan to resell, just cary and use the touched up piece, and store the other.
