Is anyone into Boker 300 layer damascus folders? I have 2 ...I like them but
rarely carry them..and no its not because theyre expensive.I got into
damascus knives when i first got into knives a few years ago. In fact I would
like to sell them.
I learned about the process of making a damascus blade which is quite time
consuming and labor intensive as some of you know.I talked to a man from
Boker who told me that the 180 & 300 layer Bokers are made by Markus
Balback in Soligen. He has a forging area right at his house where he makes
the blades for Boker which are shipped to Boker for shaping, grinding etc. etc.
Some of the steel used comes from a WW2 German battle tank barrel. Each
model he makes has a different pattern in the steel...Id like to see the
process!!
