I recently acquired a Boker Andrey folder in a trade with another BladeForums member and I have found a great knife. I had never heard of this knife before but was intrigued by its looks. This is my first Boker.

It fits my hand well and has a low rider pocket clip attached to the but of the handle which is angled. This angle matches well to khaki style pants pockets. The placement of the thumb grooves and rest is well done as it allows almost a full thumb's-up extension. The steel used for this knife, X-15 T.N. is a french brand that I'm sure some are familiar with and others may find it interesting to investigate (I had never heard of it before).

The blade of this knife is very pointy. I have never used a knife with a blade this pointy and I find it quite useful when penetrating things. I compared this knife's stabbing penetration with other folders that had the top spine ground fine and this one beats them all hands down.

The locking liner is a little stiff though. It has a teflon-like ball on it that makes is rotate easier. However, the tension on the liner is stiff. The blade has both a hole and a notch in it that aligns with the locking liner. I've never seen this before. It's quite unique. It takes a little effort to both open and close this blade which can be both a plus and a minus at times.

If you get a chance to check one of these out I think you will be both surprised and pleased to find a winning design.

Sweet looking folder! I really like the sleekness of it. I just got my first top flite Boker and am well pleased with it. It has stoked my fires for some more of these!

That's a handsome looking EDC you have there! The pointy tip looks very utility-oriented.

Congratulations on the knife.
Looks very nice. The steel the blade is made of is also used by Benchmade here is the description:

"X15 T.N: This French steel was developed for the aircraft industry for jet ball bearings, as well as the medical industry for scalpels. It has the ability to resist rust in the worst of conditions while maintaining ample edge retention. The capability behind this steel is in the way it is manufactured, resulting in the finest steel for use in harsh environments such as salt water. The edge on an X15 T.N blade is easier to maintain."
