Good evening, BF. I have a Boker Farkas Nomad, manufactured by Boker Argentina, on the way. It checks my (current) boxes for a handy fixed blade. Does anyone have experience with this model?

More generally, does anyone have opinions to share on the quality and designs coming out of the Boker plant in Argentina?

Thanks, folks!

don't have that model but have a handful plus of the arbolito models and all are well done. bit thick on the edges, is the only real downside I've seen consistently across the models I own. easily changed if you're good at sharpening.

I like the arbolitos the best of the boker lines.

I have been eyeing this knife, and now that it has been disc. need to decide soon. The design/shape just speaks to me... pipedreams308 pipedreams308 how has been your experience so far?

No experience with that particular model... But the Boker Arbolito knives made in Argentina are top notch quality and an excellent value. Really great knives.
Agreed. Having spent a decent amount of time living and traveling in rural Argentina, they tend to take their knives quite seriously and generally produce very good quality. I'm not familiar with that particular model - it's an interesting and pretty cool design.

I was totally impressed with the fit & finish of the Boker Arbolito 'El Gigante' I picked up for my collection.
It's one of my most perfectly made knives!

Hello PKJ from the UK , Love these Arbolito Argentinian made knives as they have the classic lines . Dont suppose you have the Arbolito Grande in your collection which is like the smaller Esculta but with the smoothe Guyanacan wood handle and brass bolster and butt cap ? If so lets have a pic .

No, sir, I do not.
I only own one Boker Arbolito, which is the El Gigante. I had purchased it from AG Russell. Inflation seems to have struck it recently, since I believe this model is now about $100 more than it was when I purchased mine a year or two ago from them.
To be honest, I believed it was quite the bargain at the old price, but I feel that it's still definitely worth it at it's newly increased price.

Yeah, great knife. I bought several before they were discontinued. I like to really home in on what is hot.
