I'm interested in the Boker Armed Forces Tanto Linelock but there is something that bothers me. It is that the knife handle is made in G-10 without any metal linings. Is this a problem in terms of rigidity and durabilty. Actually, is this a good quality folding knife? Thank you

Hi there (my first post!) - I have the smaller of the AF tanto folders and mine most definitely has steel liners under the G10, on both sides. It's quite a sturdy little knife, the only think I'm not that keen on is the chisel grind. Other than that, it's nice and flat, the clip can be moved to either side and either end, it locks up solid and seems to hold an edge OK. (it's a favourite bunny knife of mine).

This was my first post too and I was a little worried that nobody would answer me. I didn't see the information about the liners where I looked, but by you having one and telling me the opposite makes me feel more confortable ordering one. Good to know also that you like it. For a first post you did a good job helping me with the information provided. Thank you.

I have several knives with G10 handles and no metal liners, some very early models such as Gerber etc, that have held up well for light to moderate use. On my more robust knives I do really like the G10 to be lined with heavy liners but I'm just picky that way. Welcom to the BF.

I have the larger version. It has full liners which actually make it a bit heavy. I'm thinking about skeletonizing them. The blade is very unusual, being hollow ground (both sides) and then chisel ground for the final bevel.
