So - I'm saving up for the Voxnaes designed Boker Nessmi as my next knife purchase and I stumble across this little beauty: the Jens Anso designed "Base" neck knife.

It is said to be based on the knife that he carries himself every day.

I saw the translucent green handle version and liked it - but then I found this Blue version. And the handles looked rounded (convexed) in the photos vs. the handles on the green version looked flattened. That somehow made all the difference and I had to have it. I figure the Nessmi can wait as I'm not sure how long these little beauties will be around.

I just got it so the honeymoon is still on - but this little knife is impressing me way more than I thought it would. It is just a great little utility blade.

Sharpened edge is just under 2 inches. Overall is just over 5 inches. The center hole is key in this design - your fingers just latch onto it and you get great control. Made in Germany with N690 steel. (Curious that it isn't the N690BO Bohler-Boker). 1/8th inch thick. Light stonewash finish and a smooth satin feel to the hand. Flat ground and razor sharp out of the box. Kydex sheath and bead necklace.

Jens doesn't do fixed blades anymore - so this is really a special treat for his fans!
