My Boker serpentine stockman has Heinr.Boker&Co.BaumwerkSolingenGermanyAlemain stamped on all 3 blade tangs. The chestnut tree logo is stamped on the back of each blade also. The bolsters are square. The scales are winterbottom bone. What kind of carbon steel are the blades made of? Can a date or value be determined from the information given? There is a story that it was probably brought to the USA by a G.I. The escutcheon is the round one with the tree and solingen on it. Is there a history here? It is a pretty good old knife. It is a bit large and heavy, but most 4 inch stockmans are. Thanks, Robert
