Last night I went to my local knife dealer. I really liked the Field Marshall except for one glaring issue. I could not get it closed!!! Two employees finally forced it closed using a great deal of effort. They concluded it was either a design flaw or else it was a defective one. They didn't have another for me to look at. Sooo... Anyone here have one or handled one? Is it incredibly hard to close? Thanks in advance for any comments.

My only experience with Boker customer service was very very frustrating so if it is a a design issue I will steer clear of it. Otherwise I like this one.

I have several other Boker Plus knives and the quality control/fit & finish are great on all but one of them.

That was a discontinued G4 CLB design, I went to change the pocket clip from tip-down to tip-up and one of the screws wouldn't back out.

I would consider the problem with the Begg Field Marshall to be a defect on that model.

(No, I don't have any experience with that particular model.)

Check YouTube there are videos that show smooth, consistent deployment and closing of the Field Marshal.
