BOKER BISCUIT aus8 or 420j2

Looking on the web to but one....mostly through Google products....
searched for Boker BO589....
some sites show it to be 420j2....others aus8...so which is it...and the sites that are showing 420j2 are claiming its a boker..is it or is it a knock off?

I dont want to buy a knock off....

thats just one of many sites showing the 420j2

Aloha and welcome Burningcort,

Be advised that the "Biscuit" has been using AUS8 steel for quite some time already. Some dealers/sites just have not updated their info.

First run has been in 420. I still have one that works great, BTW (thanks Chad). Both are genuine, but AUS-8 is better, no doubt about it.

One point though, I've heard that the 420 versions have become collectibles of sorts, so if you do find one, keep that in mind.

well I use and abuse my knives so Ill go with the aus-8 but if I find some that are actually 420j2 Ill post here for the ones that want one...
