Hey TJT,
Im looking for some info on the 8573B model. I have one that says its 9885V but finding some weird things on this knife. Typing "Boker 9885V" into Google and you get "one odd link". Further I see the box mine came in says 8573B. This is the correct pattern number I think. The tree stamp looks very different from any other Ive seen. It has "BOKER USA" tang stamp and Solingen/Tree shield.

Can you shed some light on this for me?

The two models were almost identical, but the 8573 was made during the Cooper Tool Group era. It was discontinued a long time ago.
When I get back to the office I will look it up in the old catalogs and such.
Thanks, TJT

O.K.
I looked through the old catalogs, the difference between the 8573
and the 9885 is the shape of the bolsters. The 9885, which is a current stock item, has diagonal cut bolsters, and the 8573 has rounded bolsters.

We discontinued the 8573 about 11 years ago, but produced 2 limited
edition runs about 7 or so years ago.
Thats the most info I could come up with, hope it helps.
Thanks, TJT
