Before I get started, I do not have a pic of the knife I am about to describe but if someone can point me to a website where I can lookup Boker tang stamps or patterns, that would be helpful.

I found an old Boker at auction this past weekend (and bought it). It has the nicest brown jigged bone handles with worm grooves and what appears to be a nickle silver bowtie shield. It is a rather large and heavy swell center pattern with 2 blades. The blades both have the word Boker on one side and a tree on the opposite side of the blade. The word Boker looks a little different than the modern versions of the stamp I see on knives I come across.

I couldn't find an example anywhere on the internet including eBay. I also couldn't find a website that listed the various tang stamps used by the company over the years.

Is there help for me out there without having to take a pic????

I cannot ID it from your description.
A picture would be the best way to do this.

Here is the pics... I had a hard time but I was still able to get them. The tree mark on the blade looks like an early american one to me but I couldn't get the marks photo'd

I will see what I can find on this, but it is pretty old, so it may take a while
of digging through some old catalogs.
If you could give me a few days, I'll see what I can find.

Alright JF04,
You did not make this one easy, but here is what I found.
From the pics, it looks like you have a 9833, made between 1924-1935.
It was American made, by H Boker & Co, New York, NY. The catalog lists it as having "blades forged from crucible cutlery steel".

HTH,
Terry

Wow... YOU ARE THE MAN!

If we were awarding points.... you'd get em all....................
