Boker Brend knives - where/how to find parts?

Hello to all - I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I was told joining this online forum would be a way I might be able to locate spare parts for the Boker-manufactured knives made several years ago that featured co-branding with Walter Brend on the blade, as the knife design was a Brend design. Specifically, I am missing a number of the the little hexagonal socket screws that hold the G-10 scales on the sides of the knife. The heads are about 5mm across and are flush-set when screwed into the scales. The little screws I need are finished in black, although I'd happily also take the silver-finished screws if I could just find a complete set to replace my existing ones. Does anyone know where these little hex-head screws can still be obtained? Of course I have already contacted the Boker Repair Department online (repair@bokerusa.com), to ask for these screws, only to be told these knives were discontinued about 11 years ago, and parts are no longer available. I also know these knives sometimes appear for sale on eBay, but I am reluctant to purchase a complete knife, just to take off the hex-head screws, if these scews otherwise might be available by themselves somewhere. I can take photos of the screws I have and add these to this post, if that would help identify the screws - please advise. Thanks for any help any of the membership can offer me about this inquiry. Mike

Machine screws are machine screws. Any local hobby shop will have them, even radio shack carries some.

Eric's suggestion is a good one. So far, I have found stainless steel Phillips head screws that properly fit my knife's scale screw hole - I bought these at the Tacoma Screw Products store in WA - the nomenclature on the label for these screws is "Steel Phillips Machine Screw Metric M2.5 x 6mm Flat Head Zinc" with what appears to be a part no. of 228-206-1 (although there is also another number, 50-1218, also listed on the label), and the screw's thread is .45. These screws cost just a few cents each to purchase from the store. But, as these screws are bright finish with a Phillips head, and my knife has screws with a hex socket in black finish, I also went on to find what I hope actually should be the identical screws to my existing ones at the Grainger website, under their nomenclature "Skt Cap Screw, FL, M2.5x0.45x6, Pk25" Grainger Item No. 6DU21 (and the link to that item should be: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/ww...ch&Ntt=6DU21&N=0&GlobalSearch=true&sst=subset ). Unfortunately, though, for just a packet of 25 screws the charge will be $11.63, almost .50 a screw (and you cannot buy less than 25)! Nevertheless, if these work, then I won't have to scrounge around for a broken knife to cannibalize. I hope providing the previous details will help someone else that may have the same situation of missing screws on their knife. And, since I will go ahead and buy the Grainger packet of 25 screws, I will have plenty left over if other members want to purchase one or more from me (I won't charge .50 a screw...). Just contact me. Thanks, Eric!
