So I just ordered one of these Solingen made Bokers in red bone and it lists the steel simply as “carbon steel”. Does anyone have any idea what steel Boker uses when they don’t list a specific type? Thanks!

Boker used to sell that knife with rosewood handle scales, and it was listed as being 1095 steel. Now the rosewood is sold out everywhere. And the red bone is available, but only from Boker as far as I can tell. One might assume it is still 1095 steel, because the blade patterns have not changed. It could also be 1070, because that is what Boker uses for a lot of their other carbon steel knives.
