Received this from a fellow BladeForum member (I won't name him, but I hope he steps forward in this thread to receive proper thanks)...It's a beautiful blade, almost to pretty to use! This is well-built, nicely designed, quality material. Great craftsmanship from the Germans (little surprise LOL).

enough chatter, let pics talk-

Thanks again man! I love this thang... greatly appreciated!

Congratz to that one!

The stag is really nice. Which steel is used for the blade?

Looks like a liner-lock, or is any other lock used?

Don´t blame us Germans... we have already invented a lot of good things...

Kind regards
Andi

4715 is what it's marked, SS maybe? will look into it and report back

Liner lock, no other lock

''Great craftsmanship from the Germans (little surprise LOL).'' is a compliment, meaning it should surprise no one that it's well-built considering the German's reputation for quality products.

Kind regards
Andi

hope that clears it up some.

*it's stainless steel-from the website
''Combine the tradition of a pocket knife with the ease of one-handed open and close. Genuine stag handles and a stainless steel blade. Closed length: 4 1/4".''

I´ve seen it as a compliment ;) Though I made an ironic note on it... I know, it´s not often seen on written words :) (German products have usually a good reputation all around the world)

Thank you for the infos!

Kind regards
Andi

Really rugged stag on that one! Looks good.

I've got a Böker Copperliner in Green Bone. It's a locking Copperhead with all stainless liners and pins. Generally finish is good, but I don't trust the liner-lock at all!
Unlike Queen or GEC this has no slipjoint aspect/spring so it depends entirely on the liner-lock nothing else. It's not a convincing liner as it doesn't go across the tang very far, it's 'lazy' . I like to have a liner in conjunction with a slipjoint set-up. This knife can open in the pocket to as it has no spring  Not so struck on the plastic opening thumb stud either... Böker do better in the conventional slipjoint dept. I feel.

That's a great looking Boker you've got there. I've always liked Bokers but it seems they haven't gotten a whole lot of press on this forum.

Yeah, the Germans are second only to the Swiss IMO, and only by a tiny bit. It'd be nice if I could visit Germany and meet my relatives... Need to learn German first.
The number etched on the blade is the model number IIRC. The steel is probably 420 series or equivalent. Is that real stag or plag (plastic stag)?

BTW the word you are looking for is "popcorned"

You are correct. 4715 is indeed model #

it's genuine stag.

''Popcorned'' huh

Nice looking knife, beautiful stag. Stag is one of the things the Germans do very well, lots of nice knarly bark. I wish Case did stag as well as the Germans do it. Boker, old Hen and Rooster, old Puma, all had great stag.

By the way, did I mention I love great stag?:D

Carl.
