So my recent fascination has been small fixed blades for EDC. Just saw the Boker CLB MPT and it kind of tickled my fancy. I prefer smaller OAL (somewhere in the 6-7" range) but that usually means that you sacrifice blade length - but with the short handle of the MPT that isn't really the case. I'm a bit apprehensive due to it's price for the steel (~$55 for Aus-8 O.o) and the overall ability of the knife to function as an EDC blade. Anyone have any experience with them? Good, bad?

Also - found the black combo blade version on sale for $34 shipped as opposed to the plain edged version for $55 shipped - think it's worth sacrificing the full plain edge to save $20?

Just a lil bump for the evening crowd (kind of antsy and itching to order some pointy things :p).

RAT Cutlery's Izula can be had for $40-50 at Knifecenter. 6.25" OAL with 2.88" of blade. I still need to grab one, but I have never heard a single bad review of it. Plus, it uses the classically sturdy 1095 steel, meaning it can probably receive a great deal of abuse compared to the MPT.
