I'm on the hunt for a new slippy and decided I'd try out the copperhead pattern.Of course there's always CASE,but then I saw this Boker Tree Brand copperhead with tortoise cellulose scales.

I live in Australia so naturally I found it on an aussie site
It also has carbon steel blades.
Ignoring the price,is this a good buy?

Böker's what I've heard (magnum excluded) are excellent knives and have quality compareable with most american cultery makers like Case and Queen and such.

Hi,

I bought one in red bone a couple years ago. Nicely made and sturdy. I found it a bit too big for my pocket. But my Father-in-law lost his old Buck 110 very shortly after. So I gifted the Boker to him. He likes it and uses it every day around his farm.

I like Boker's C75 carbon steel for EDC. I quite often carry a Boker Barlow with C75 blades. They hold an edge well and sharpen easily. If you like the pattern, get it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Well, if you like the scales then I would say it's worth buying. I have a couple Tree Brand knives and I like both of them. The fit and finish aren't perfect (slight gaps), but the walk and talk are very good. The carbon steel they use takes a great edge without a lot of effort.

Recent Bökers(Germany) seem to have moved up a notch in desirability. Very good fit and action, some nice bone jigging/acrylics and remarkable value for money. The Copperhead is no shrinking violet, being a sturdy and quite heavy pattern. My preference in Bökers is Whitters or Stockman.

german made bokers in carbon are good performers. lots of people think their 440c is good however i've never used it.
