I am pondering about a Boker Copperhead. I have a Boker Stockman that I like but I am interested in the Copperhead. Suggestions, tips, experiences, etc. Size comparison pictures to a Case trapper or Canoe would be helpful. I'm thinking of Appoloosa or yellow bone for the scales. Thank you for any and all input.

Sorry, I should not have posted this as a review as I do not have one yet. I should have put it under recommendation instead.

Here are a couple of shots of my Boker Copperhead with a Case Trapper. I've also included a stock shot of what the Boker looked like before I did some workgrooving with a Dremel tool and applied some black leather dye. I love this knife. My only complaint is that the blades are not very snappy. The clip blade in particular is very mushy - very little "walk and talk". I don't know if this is a common problem with the Bokers or not. I've been considering getting one of the Appaloosa bone ones myself!

I much prefer a Copperhead over a Trapper simply because of the curved shape. I don't use Spey blades either. CASE used to have a Copperhead with a Pen secondary blade instead of the Skinner. A single blade Coperhead is a nice pocket carry too, check Queen Cutlery's linerlock model, compact but a tough workingman's knife.

My Böker Copperhead in Grand Canyon Bone offers excellent build quality, no gaps, very gripy bone but the pull on these blades is light. Not so on other Böker knives I have. The steel sharpens up very keenly too. I'd go for the Appaloosa Bone if you can get it. The BEST Stockman I own has these scales from Böker, so too a nice Whittler I have. This bone varies a lot in appearance but is always nice to look at. I've said it before but Böker Germany, carbon knives offer a lot at a very decent price.

I don't have the Copperhead but I do have a Copperlock. Nice knife for the price though it's a single blade with a thumbstud which isn't very traditional.

I have 3 Boker's and have been very happy with the build quality. Their Congress carver is on my wish list next.

I really like Boker, their price point is where knives should be, I used a 4" stockman for many years at work, their carbon steel really takes a keen edge, no gaps, no play, plus a lifetime guarantee. ( never had to use it but nice to know it's there, my wife has and the service was excellent )
Jippofan, the Boker congress carver was/is on my wish list when/if you pick one up could you do a review?
I wanted the Boker or #62 GEC courthouse whittler, I was gonna buy the Boker cuz of the quality/price ratio, plus the four different blades used are the four I like to use whittling, but my wife and daughter got me the #62 for my first fathers day and it is very nice.

I have a Boker Copperhead in appaloosa bone and although it was pretty in the stock picture, it is disappointing in hand.
The walk n talk is basically non existant.
The scales are completely different in color. (one really dark and one really light)
The factory edges are "ok".
A few gaps, both blades are touching the liners, and the shield looks like it may fall out at any moment.
I consider it poor quality even at $40.
